St. Elizabeth - Independence

Category: Health Care

Paul Hemmer Company assisted with the site selection, as well as the design and construction of a family practice center for St. Elizabeth Physicians in Independence, Kentucky.  Hemmer identified and presented seventeen sites to St. Elizabeth Physicians for consideration before Hemmer and St. Elizabeth narrowed the choices to four, at which time St. Elizabeth selected an undeveloped site on McCullum Pike.

Hemmer acquired the site and worked with the developer to obtain zoning approval for a 12,000 sq. ft. family practice center.  The McCullum site was part of a small area study that identified the site as a Gateway Mixed Use Zone, the purpose of which was to encourage mixed-use developments.  Hemmer staff worked with the city and zoning officials to massage the plan gain approval of the project.

The project was completed and occupied in six months from the date of the groundbreaking.  KZF Design and Viox and Viox were the design professionals for the project.
