Project Summary

Paul Hemmer Company served as general contractor for Prologis Cedar Grove Shell Building #6, a 671,680 SF speculative Class A distribution facility in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The project was designed and built to Prologis's institutional distribution standards on a 2,320,166 SF site within the Cedar Grove industrial park. The facility features 40-foot minimum clear heights, 68 dock doors with full loading infrastructure, a mechanically attached TPO roof system, extensive site improvements, and LEED compliance — making it one of the largest and most feature-rich distribution projects in Paul Hemmer's portfolio.

Key Features

  • 671,680 SF precast concrete shell building on a 53-acre site, designed as an unlimited area building per IBC 507.4 with 40-ft minimum clear height
  • 1 oversized drive-in door (12' × 14') and 4 secondary 9' × 10' doors, plus extensive knockout panels distributed around the perimeter for future dock expansion
  • 370-space asphalt parking lot (2,320,166 SF site) with LEED-required preferred parking for low-emitting and fuel-efficient vehicles; vegetated open space exceeding code minimums

  • 60 mil mechanically attached TPO roofing (min. SRI 78) over two staggered layers of rigid insulation meeting minimum R-20.5, on 1.5" steel deck
