Project Summary
Paul Hemmer Company oversaw design and construction of an 83,000 sq. ft. facility in Hebron, Kentucky for Bonfiglioli, which is a family-run Italian company in the global power transmission market that produces gear motors and gearboxes. Since the original building was constructed, Hemmer has also overseen renovation work within the facility, including office, laboratory space and the addition of cranes.
The design-build team included KZF Design and Viox and Viox.
Key Features
- 250' × 300' tilt-up concrete building expansion with 28-ft clear height for manufacturing and assembly operations
- 4 dock doors (9' × 10') with mechanical dock levelers, dock seals, swivel arm dock lights, and 65-ft concrete apron
- Site work including heavy-duty truck pavement, 115–119-space asphalt parking lot, concrete dock apron, and site lighting
- 8" reinforced slab on grade (4,000 PSI) over compacted granular fill with machine steel trowel finish
- Selective demolition of existing west wall metal siding at two column bays to integrate addition with existing facility
