Project Summary

Paul Hemmer Company managed a 12,000 sq. ft. addition and major renovation project in Cincinnati, Ohio for Phototype, an 80-year old, family-owned company that offers an entire portfolio of graphics and image reproduction services. Both the exterior and interior of the company’s 28,000 sq. ft. facility underwent a major renovation along with a two-story addition. The expansion and renovation project was designed by PDT Architects.

Building addition to existing masonry structure with brick veneer exterior, new structural framing, and full integration with the existing two-story building — including demolition of existing partitions and systems on both floors and the basement to accommodate the new program.
Complete three-level interior fit-out across basement, first floor, and second floor, delivering open office areas with workstation systems, perimeter private offices, a reception lobby, conference rooms, server room, and an exercise room with cubbie storage.
Custom millwork and high-finish interiors including a designed reception desk with curved front elevation, built-in credenzas, a barcore/retouching entry feature, and custom area rugs — reflecting a high level of interior design specification coordinated by PDT Interiors Group, Inc.
Elevator installation and stair reconstruction with new elevator pit and structural framing, interior concrete stair, ADA-compliant ramp at entry, exterior stair with cast stone wall, and a fully detailed stair railing and guard rail system.
