Project Delivery Method

Project Summary

Paul Hemmer Company delivered a new medical office building for St. Elizabeth Physicians in Hebron, Kentucky, providing a fully built-out primary care facility. The project encompassed complete interior construction including a branded patient lobby, a clinical wing with exam rooms and MA workstations, provider offices, lab and phlebotomy areas, staff support spaces, and ADA-compliant patient toilet rooms — all executed to a detailed finish specification package developed in close coordination with St. Elizabeth's interior design standards.

Key Features

  • Branded patient lobby with custom millwork: The main lobby features a curved check-in counter with thin stone veneer (Realstone Thin Shadowstone in Sierra), plastic laminate casework in Camel Elm, solid surface transaction tops in Avalance, and luxury vinyl tile welcome zones. Frosted film on storefront glazing provides privacy while maintaining the open feel of the entry.
  • Standardized exam room build-out: Each 10' x 11' exam room includes custom casework with wall-mounted monitor arms, locked drawer bases, solid surface countertops, integrated wall boards, privacy swing partitions, and cubical curtain tracks. Flooring combines Mannington Spacia Mirus luxury vinyl tile in field and accent colors, with Infro chairrail and corner guards throughout.
  • Medical assistant workstation corridor: A centrally located MA station runs the length of the clinical corridor, providing workstations with above-counter storage cabinets, locked pedestal bases, solid surface countertops, and a dedicated drug storage unit. The MA soffit is painted P-4 (Smokey Blue) on all sides, visually anchoring the clinical core of the building.
  • Comprehensive finish specification: The project was executed to a detailed, room-by-room finish spec including Sherwin-Williams Promar 200 Zero VOC paints in four coordinated colors, Armstrong Cirrus acoustic ceiling tile throughout, solar shade window treatments, corner guards, and a complete toilet accessory schedule — maintaining brand consistency across all St. Elizabeth Physicians locations.
  • Lab and safety infrastructure: The lab and phlebotomy areas include Guardian G5026 eyewash/drench hose units with thermostatic mixing valves delivering ANSI-compliant tepid water, eye wash stations coordinated with the plumbing engineer, and separate check-in and phlebotomy zones designed for efficient patient throughput.
