Paul Hemmer Company has completed two projects for UGN Inc. at its Monroe, Ohio manufacturing facility. Hemmer constructed the original 232,200 sq. ft. facility for IDI Gazely, who then leased the facility to UGN. The project required an aggressive schedule and the team worked closely on a number of value engineering initiatives to maintain both the schedule and budget. Hemmer completed the project on a fast-track schedule that enabled UGN to begin operations just eight months after groundbreaking. The project involved complex coordination of systems that included process piping for air, stream and water throughout the plan to meet the demands of the company’s advanced manufacturing process.
Since the original project completion, Hemmer also constructed a 154,000 sq. Ft. expansion to the plant.
UGN is a world-class manufacturer of acoustic, interior trim and thermal management products for the automotive industry in North America.
