Project Summary
Paul Hemmer Company completed the construction of the Rumpke Customer Convenience Center located at 3800 Struble Road in Cincinnati, Ohio. The facility was developed to provide the public with a convenient location for residential waste disposal and recycling services while supporting Rumpke’s regional operations.
The project included the construction of a purpose-built drop-off facility designed to safely manage customer traffic, material handling, and waste processing activities. The site was developed with designated unloading areas, circulation lanes, and operational infrastructure to support efficient vehicle flow and safe public access. The completed facility enhances Rumpke’s ability to serve the community while providing a durable, functional environment for long-term waste management operations.
Key Features
- Weather-Resilient Design: The installation of prefinished aluminum gutters, downspouts, and snow guards protects pedestrian areas and ensures efficient stormwater management.
- Environmental Considerations: Drain tiles and filter fabrics were employed at the foundation perimeters to improve water drainage and soil stability.
- Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB): The structure incorporates 1 ½" prefinished metal siding and roofing systems, ensuring durability and streamlined maintenance.
- Advanced Tipping Floor: Designed with an 8-inch reinforced ballistic slab on a compacted stone base, this key feature ensures optimal performance under heavy operational loads.
- Integrated Systems: The facility includes strategically positioned fire protection systems and high-bay LED lighting fixtures mounted at 32 feet above finished floor levels, enhancing safety and operational visibility.
