When ZF Rubber & Plastics wanted to expand its manufacturing operations in Hebron, Kentucky, it called on Hemmer’s experienced team of construction professional to design and build a new 56,000 sq. ft. building on a fast-track schedule. Paul Hemmer Company built the manufacturer’s original facility at 1102 Aviation Blvd. in Airpark International when ZF Boge Elastmetall began operations in Hebron in 1994. The new, adjacent building increases the operation’s existing 96,000 square feet by 58 percent, and allows for the purchase of new equipment to manufacture bushings, engine mounts, anti-vibration products and plastics components for the automotive industry. Cabot Properties was the developer for the project. The design-build team included Viox and Viox and KZF Design.
