Just days after Kentucky officials lauded DHL’s expansion at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport for paving the way for more economic growth, another company says it will expand as well.

Dermody Properties, a national industrial development company, and Hillwood Investment Properties will develop the facility on a 52-acre site. Reno, Nevada-based Dermody Properties and Hillwood Investment Properties have formed a joint venture to build a new 898,560-square-foot building for the online seller of home furnishings and decor, the companies said Wednesday.  Paul Hemmer Co. will be the project’s general contractor. Building construction is expected to be complete in the second quarter of 2016.

A nearly $22 million expansion of Zotefoams Inc., a world leader in cross-linked block foams, is expected to bring 25 new jobs to Northern Kentucky.  This is the second collaboration between Hemmer and Zotefoams.

Gov. Steve Beshear today joined company officials and local leaders to break ground on Zotefoams Inc.’s expansion in Walton.  Paul Hemmer Company has been contracted for the expansion.

Two companies are expanding locally and expect to bring dozens of new jobs to the Greater Cincinnati region. Zotefoams (LON: ZTF) is expected to invest nearly $22 million in a 53,000-square-foot expansion of its Walton headquarters, which will create 25 new jobs. The expansion is being built by Paul Hemmer Co.

VanTrust Real Estate LLC has a second speculative project under construction in the Columbus region. VanTrust General Manager Andy Weeks tells me general contractor Paul Hemmer Co. will build a 226,000-square-foot project at 3360 Southwest Boulevard in Grove City.

Last month, Mazak Corp., a machine tool manufacturer based in Japan, completed a two-year, $30 million renovation and expansion of its manufacturing facility in Florence, Ky.  Fort Mitchell-based Paul Hemmer Co., which has completed more than two dozen projects for Mazak in recent years, handled the renovation and expansion.

Paul Hemmer Company completed a major expansion and multi-step renovation of Mazak Corporation’s manufacturing facility in Northern Kentucky this month. The overall project, which extended over two years and included many elements, is part of a $30 million additional investment by Mazak in its North American operations in Northern Kentucky.
